Mooring
Phase 1
Drake Towage constructed the King’s Lynn Visitors Pontoon and extension.
The King’s Lynn mooring was constructed to provide mooring for visiting boats from inland and from Europe. The mooring is also used for the Hanseatic Ski race event that is held every summer in King’s Lynn which is very popular amongst the locals and visitors.
Fig 1 – Using a barge mounted knuckle crane and piling hammer we drove the piles to depth for the construction of the mooring.
Fig 2 – Once the piles were driven in, we attached the floating moorings. We then lifted into position the bridge that makes the connection to the quayside.
