Our aluminium transportable Ex MOD bridges deliver military-grade and modular bridging systems tailored for construction projects.
At Drake Towage, we transport and install EX MOD bridges engineered to perform under the toughest conditions. These bridge’s offer exceptional strength, durability, and flexibility, being able to withstand the weight of main battle tanks, such as Challenger 2 and equivalent to six double decker buses, MOD state 60T gross.
To our personal tests, the bridges have a combined weight of approximately 33.5T with only 24mm deflection.
During the bridge’s lifetime, each bridging system is designed to withstand typically 10,000 crossings in its worst-case load condition, for both tracked and wheeled vehicles and in extreme military environments.
Making them ideal for construction site access, temporary diversions, agricultural or forestry crossings and remote infrastructure projects.
The bridges comprise of 2x Aluminium sections, each length 13.5m long (spanning 12m), 1.5m wide and 70cm high at the centre. Bridge themselves weigh 2.5T each which are lifted and transported by our lorry.
